Date Evening!

My date this Friday evening is a 3-year-old boy Kaju. His hair have been shampooed this afternoon and are as soft as cotton candy. Dog mom Nivedita auntie has baked chocolate muffins and has also prepared some Vietnamese coffee for our date evening.

Before we take our seats, the dog mom who’s a fan of Wordsworth and a huge fan of Tagore, has very generously offered me to go through her collection and pick up a read for the evening. I’ve picked up, Tagore’s Chokher Bali.

As we proceed towards the living room, dog mom has asked me to put on some mild classical jazz on her good old music system.

I’ve made myself comfortable on an olive green arm chair, my coffee is kept on the coffee table on my left, the aroma of chocolate muffin and Tagore’s novel has made this evening very fine.

Kaju who is right now sitting on my lap has been jumping on and off depending upon the kind of attention he wants. He, I think, enjoys how I play with his hair but equally enjoys his own space where he is on the floor just lying down and chilling, like an absolute boss.

The boy, who isn’t allowed to have chocolate in any form has tried to make a puppy face a couple of times to probably get a bite of the muffin, but hasn’t been able to convince his mom as yet. All he’s got is, a few dog biscuits and a bowl of milk, which he looks at reluctantly but is taking a bite or two of the same nonetheless.

Umm...I think that’s about it, this date as is beautiful, peaceful, poetic and of course has all my favourites, a book, a dog, a mug of fab coffee and a warm chocolate muffin!
